Dr. Thayne R. Coffman is the Chief Science Officer at 21CT, where he has performed and led research on a variety of topics, including network traffic analysis, graph-based pattern recognition, social network analysis, and digital signal processing. Prior to 21CT, he worked at Trilogy Software, Inc., developing and enhancing model representations, maintenance environments, compilers, and inference engines for two Sales Configuration Software products. Dr. Coffman earned S.B. and M.Eng. degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He has authored or coauthored 21 publications, is the inventor on 2 awarded and 3 pending patents, and has been the Principal Investigator or lead author on 20 winning Department of Defense research proposals totaling $8.5M in funding.
