Bio:
Michael Gough is a CISSP, CISA and currently a Sr. Information Security
Analyst for the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. Michael has spent
the better part of the last 20 years as a Consultant in both Information

Hands on Learning tool for Cryptography
Submitted by dhughes on Tue, 2009-11-03 14:12.Cryptography is largely a theoretical concept. You can talk about DES and Diffie-Hellman, but not often do you get to "play" with these concepts or see them well illustrated.
About a month ago, I stumbled across a little application called Cryptool. Created by some very clever German geeks, this little application contains a wealth of examples, animations, demos, etc to help you gain a firmer grasp on cryptographic concepts. I used it during the last class I taught on Cryptography and it seemed to help quite a lot.

He is the creator of the forensics software product know known as EnCase, and was the forensics expert for the Enron trial. He has spoken on this topic worldwide and has been in the computer forensics industry for over 16 years.
